Operation Handship

Remember as a child tracing the shape of person on folded paper and cutting it out to find a string of people connected hand to hand? I never really got the hang of cutting those little people out, but as I have grown, I have got the hang of the symbolism behind those paper people chains. Whether we cut out three people or a hundred of them, they were always holding hands and fully connected as a united force. We could hang them on the wall or we could tape them across the door as the winning tape for a race. They could stretch straight across or we could wrap them around going up and down as needed. In essence, those paper cut out people were indestructable as long as their hands remained interlocked.

Operation Handship is my hand reaching out to your hand. Throughout my little corner of the world, I am touched and moved beyond explanation at the committment our Armed Forces give to our country. Not only do men and women spend enormous amounts of time away from their spouses, children, siblings, parents, etc, those families left on the homefront are the ones who stand deep within my heart. I cannot fathom how daily life would function if my husband or any loved one of mine were overseas serving our country. My world would be deeply empty.

But as a photographer, I realize the power behind an image, and I realize how important it is to carry a piece of your loved one with you. As my way of saying "thank you" I have created Operation Handship. Operation Handship is a program for any military family wishing to capture their family's beauty and essence before shipping out or shortly after returning. 30-45 minute session--FREE

Online Viewing Gallery--FREE

15-20 Images to choose from--FREE

One specially enhanced image (can be made patriotic, family themed, etc)--FREE

Three (3) Final Images on High Res. CD--FREE

** A valid military ID with photo is required for participation**

Other Details

Session includes member of the Armed Forces and family up to 8 members of the family.

Depending on demand, preference will be given in the following priority: 1. Members shipping out. 2. Members returning from duty. 3. All other Active Armed Forces members.

You are welcome to wear your uniform or bring any special honors you would like to include in the session.
